About Me

It's now more than forty years ago that I bought a Mamiya M645 film camera. After years of working in the darkroom (all black and white then) I jumped to Canon digital cameras (Canon EOS, Canon EOS Mark II) and Photoshop and enjoyed improving my skills further. I just started to experiment with my Hasselblad x1d. I’m interested in glamour, beauty, lingerie and nude photography.

Like for many photographers the work of the late Helmut Newton was one of the first photographers who inspired me. Through the time other photographers inspired me (like Horst P.Horst, Bettina Rheims, Ellen Von Unwerth, Paolo Roversi, Marc LaGrange, Miles Aldridge, Steven Klein, Andrea Klarin to name some). But I’m also inspired by fashion magazines like Vogue Italia, movies and contemporary art.

I'm a Dutch ‘non-commercial’ photographer meaning I don't need to earn money with photography.
