Nude photography is something that has been around for a long time and it has many names, such as Boudoir photography, and Fine Art Nude. Mankind has always had a fascination for depicting and aestheticising the Nude. However, due to the subject matter and depending on social contexts, it has not always been easy to be a Nude photographer or a nude model. YouPic values our Nude photographers because we think that it is an important part of human expression. Nude photos can tell many different stories depending on the setting, form, light, colours, composition, and so on. The most fundamental aspect of Nude images is to show what otherwise is hidden in our day-to-day lives. With Nude photos, you can reflect on the human form and its anatomy. A naked body that follows the lines of a cliff, limbs in unnatural positions, or a dancing figure in an empty dimly lit hall, they all invite us to further reflect on what the human body is capable of and where its limitations lie. It can portray the captivatingly beautiful, or the raw and grotesque. When viewing Nude Art, we might ask ourselves what it means to be human. Where does civilization begin and end in an individual body? Where does the core of mankind lie, and when do we become something entirely different?

There is a lot to think about when becoming a Nude Art photographer that not only has to do with finding the right equipment or setting. One needs to create a good relationship with the subjects and respect certain boundaries. Find out what you would like to achieve with your Nude photos and find people you can work well with. Besides doing research for this purpose, you might want to consider which equipment suits the kind of image you want to shoot. Would you like to work inside or outdoors? Do you prefer shooting in film or digital? There are many choices to make but as long as you know the basics, you should be able to play around with the genre and explore your creativity from the get-go.

As we mentioned before, we respect and value the Nude photographers in our community and many of them have been with us a long time. They are an important part of the photography world and continues to explore the aesthetics of the human body. We are always happy to see that photographers feel welcome and let us view their stunning Nude Art portfolios. With that said, we do have a few guidelines when it comes to Nude photography. As you have probably already guessed, there are many nuances when it comes to Nude photography. While we are a social platform, YouPic is first and foremost a photography community. This means that we will not allow people to share nude photos in our community because they cannot find another place to store their personal intimate images. If you have close-up shots of genitalia or pornographic images, we kindly ask to you refrain from posting such content on our platform. While Nude Art can have sexual connotations, we appreciate it if your images are not explicitly sex-related. If you decide to post such content anyway, we will remove it. If you feel hesitant, please reach out to us with your questions and we will guide you through the process of uploading your stunning Nude photos.
